A linear north to south aligned earthwork bank of likely post-medieval to 19th century date is visible on digital images of 2002 and 2014, at Cockhayes. The earthwork possibly represents a former field boundary, defining a small rectilinear shaped infield or given that an orchard is depicted here on the Parish Tithe map of 1838-48, possibly the remains of tree-planting planks which have all but been levelled.
