The remains of parallel ridges spaced circa 4 to 5 metres apart were visible as low earthwork banks in a plot to the east of Woodbere Court, Plymtree parish, on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014.
The visible banks cover a small area of circa 0.1 ha, falling within a much larger plot listed on the Tithe Apportionments for Plymtree as an Pigs orchard at Woodbere Court. The orchard plot was reduced in size on the OS First Edition map, but the northern half of the plot, in which the banks were visible, remained lightly planted to 1946. That banks were visible on two alignments might support the interpretation that the orchard had more than one phase of planting.
