Summary

A possible post-medieval to 19th century extraction pit is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1948 and 1971, to the southwest of Knightshayne Farm. The irregular shaped earthwork measures approximately 30m in length by 16m in width and is situated within the western corner of a land parcel. The earthwork is not clearly visible after 1971 and appears to have been, at least in part, levelled.
