Recorded as House, Yard, Garden etc on the Membury Tithe Mapportionment.

Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.

A building is shown broadly in this location on the Tithe Map forming the west side of a yard with a dwelling house to the north and another building on the south side, the yard entered from the east. Another building is depictd to the north-east.

Beckford Farm marked. Comparison to the Tithe Map shows the farmstead to have altered considerably. Only a solitary north-south aligned building is shown in this location with a new L-shaped farmhouse to the north-east and another rectangular building by the road.
