Site 2: Six granite masonry piers supported the front edge of the kiln roof and form the front wall of the linhay. The spaces between the piers form the entrances to the cart bays. The four north-eastern piers survive to full height of circa 3.1 metres but the south-western two have been reduced to circa 1.7 metres. One carries a plaque inscribed '1895' which must have been added during a refurbishment or extension phase.
Site 3: Five cart bays provided access for horse-drawn vehicles to load the finished clay. The bays are circa 2 metres wide and vary in length from 4.8 to 6 metres. The facing of the bays is generally granite rubble with re-used pan-kiln tiles incorporated in places suggesting phases of repair and rebuild.
Sites 4-6: Three sections of linhay or clay storage originally built as one space with two internal walls added later. The rear wall averages 5 metres high which also forms the front edge of the heated pan at the higher level. The intrusion of the cart bays suggests that the clay was stored in block from which could be stacked neatly.
Site 7: At the southern end of the linhay space the rear wall has been strengthened by an additional masonry buttress. This is directly below the hottest part of the pan above and may be an indicator of damage caused by thermal stress.
Site 8: Abutting the southern end of the linhay is a collapsed structure which was roofed but now only represented by low walls 0.5 metres high.
