Sites 27 and 28: A low concrete wall (Site 28) encloses four concrete pillars (Site 27) each 1.9 metres high. There are no other structural remains. This feature is evidently a late addition and would appear to represent the base supports for a filter press, A press-house would require considerable modification to the tanks as well as additional pipework and a pump-house. As there is no evidence for these it is assumed that the construction of a press-house was never completed.
