Full description

A toll house lies between Chawleigh and Chulmleigh on the Exeter to Barnstaple road.

There is a bridge toll house between Chawleigh and Chulmleigh on the old Exeter to Barnstaple road (citing Sheldon 1933). A turnpike is shown on the 1809 1 inch Ordnance Survey map.
