Summary
The manor of Teigngrace is thought to be the manor of Taigne recorded in Domesday book of 1086. At that time it was held by Ralph de Bruyere. The family continued to live at Taigne until the end of the 13th century, the manor becoming known as Teingbure. It then passed through marriage to the de Graas family, taking the name of Teign-Graas. The manor then appears to have descended though the Copplestone, Courtenay and Kelland families.

The manor of Teigngrace is thought to be the manor of Taigne recorded in Domesday book of 1086. At that time it was held by Ralph de Bruyere. The family continued to live at Taigne until the end of the 13th century, the manor becoming known as Teingbure. It then passed through marriage to the de Graas family, taking the name of Teign-Graas. The manor then appears to have descended though the Copplestone, Courtenay and Kelland families.
