A curvilinear feature is visible as a single ditch on aerial photographs (p1). The ditch is sited in an area described as 'probably watermeadows in the late medieval and/or post-medieval periods' in Devon’s Historic Landscape Characterisation. It follows the line of the contour, on a slope that runs down a valley bottom. It is likely that this feature is the remains of a leat; one of a possible series that would have formed a water meadow. It has been digitally plotted as part of the National Mapping Programme.
