Summary
Two post-medieval to 19th century quarries are visible as earthwork pits on aerial photographs taken in 1946, within South Ford Copse, South Molton. The northern of the two quarries is shown as an earthwork on the Ordnance Survey First Edition map and both are shown on the Second Edition map. The southern quarry also corresponds with earthworks shown on the 2018 MasterMap.
