The 1930s historic mapping shows aa long narrow building at this location (not shown on the preceding 1905 map).

Thomas Fitzpatrick had the garage built shortly after moving to Chagford from Ireland in 1910. A keen horseman, the new ventured catered for the burgeoning interest in motorcars. Set to be demolished in the next week or two.
