Summary

Full description

South West Heritage Trust, 1838-1848, Digitised Tithe Maps and Transcribed Apportionments (Cartographic). SDV359954.

Tithe Map shows a small farm with L-shaped building in the centre of the yard and a rectangle barn to the north. Plot 326: 'Barn and courtlage, Veale's Estate'.

Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.

The late 19th century historic map shows 'Warraton', which is a small farm consisting of a yard with large rectangular building (probable barn) aligned east-west at the north and another building (including dwelling?), with additional structures adjoining at the west end, aligned roughly south-west by north-east. This lies to the south-west of the barn.

By the time of the early 20th century historic amp, only a single building (barn?) remains and there is no sign of the yard/enclosed area of the farm.
