Maristow House SX474645
A socket stone lies outside a garden wall of one of the courtyards, on the northern side of Maristow House. Made of granite, square at the base and octagonal above, with a chamfered top edge, two of the corners are cut into a step.
Socket stone 0.45 by 0.45 metres by 0.27 metres high. Socket hole 16.5 by 15.2 centimetres by 3.81 centimetres deep. Chamfer of hole 10.2 centimetres. Corner step 12.7 by 12.70 centimetres by 7.62 centimetres. Includes three colour photographs.
