SX69876009 Row of cottages (Nos. 6-9) on Totnes Road
These cottages are sufficiently old to be present on the 1843 Tithe Map (see source). They are stone built and rendered, two storey with a single span slate roof. Brick chimneys. Modern door and window replacements.
On the Tithe Map, plot 2900 (with a shop) has a projection on the eastern gable wall. This would now be obscured by the more recent cottage, part of a row, Nos. 10-13 filling the gap between this row and the converted chapel (Nos. 14-15). Local information suggests plot 2901 may have been a shop, possibly connected with the barracks opposite and the gin trade.

Ordnance Survey, 2018, MasterMap 2018 (Cartographic). SDV360652.

Row of cottages are depicted on the modern mapping.
