Germansweek Churchyard SX438942
A socket stone stands by the south porch of the church. Square at the base, the sides rise vertically for 0.12 metres then slope inwards to form a smaller top surface. It has an oblong socket hole and is made of local stone, without any inscriptions on any surface.
Socket stone 0.71 by 0.71 metres at base, 0.48 by 0.48 metres at the top. Height 0.22 metres. Socket hole 0.24 by 0.27 metres by 0.12 metres. (Includes photograph).
