Little Modbury SX656506
A probable socket stone stands near the front door of Little Modbury farmhouse. Granite, octagonal in shape, it has a chamfered top edge and has been hollowed out to form a trough.
Socket stone measures 1.14 metres by 0.45 metres high (octagonal). Chamfer of 0.12 metres. Inside 0.91 metres in diameter, roughly circular. Colour photograph included.
