Full description

Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.

The only feature visible is the circular summerhouse just above the Tamar. The Bere Ferrers tithe apportionment records the field name as Rumley Kiln Wood (plot 277).

An 'Old Shaft' is named on the circa 1907 Ordnance Survey map. A circular feature in the same location is recorded on the circa 1880 Ordnance Survey map and circa 1840 Tithe map. The shaft is not included on the Tithe Apportionment but is shown as part of a larger enclosure, TA 277, 'Rumley Kiln Wood'.
