A mine shaft and spoil heap at East Wheal Russel. The first edition 1:2500 Ordnance map shows the spoil heap to the west of a circular earthwork but does not indicate a shaft. However, the second edition map records a 'Shaft' and a circular boundary, presumably a hedge, now enclosing the mine shaft. A similar arrangement is recorded on modern Ordnance Survey mapping.
