Full description

Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.

Whiteheathfield Farm depicted comprising ranges of buildings around four sides of a courtyard. The dwelling house appears to be on the north side of the yard. The southern range is angled alongside a track/lane with an entrance into the yard in the south-west corner. The western range extends beyond the courtyard.

Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.

Whiteheathfield Barton marked. Comparison with the Tithe Map shows the plan of the farmstead to have changed little.

Ordnance Survey, 1904 - 1906, Second Edition Ordnance Survey 25 inch Map (Cartographic). SDV325644.

Comparison with the 1880s-1890s map shows the house to have been demolished and replaced by two smaller buildings, the western range truncated and a new farmhouse built within its own garden to the south-west.

Ordnance Survey, 2018, MasterMap 2018 (Cartographic). SDV360652.

Several of the historic farm buildings appear to be still extant.
