Linear earthwork banks are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946 and on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014, to the west of Millclose Linhay, Broadhempston. The earthwork banks, approximately 7m in width, form a rectilinear enclosure which measures approximately 85m in length by 45m in width. The banked enclosure, which is abuts the River Hems along its southern extent does not correspond with any features shown in this location on the available 19th and early 20th century historic maps, supporting the interpretation that the enclosure had passed out of use by the mid-19th century. The enclosure has been interpreted as a possible medieval or post-medieval land parcel.
