An oval mound circa 7 by 5m in size is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs to the east of Mamhead House, Mamhead. The mound is interpreted as a probable tree planting mound, possibly a former ornamental park feature. No tree is depicted in this location on the Ordnance Survey First Edition 25inch map, and was therefore probably removed by the late 19th century.
