A cluster of fields containing the name 'Leaden Gate' shown on early 19th century mapping. Mid 20th century aerial photographs show that development started to the west of the cluster and expanded, reiterated by early 21st century mapping and aerial photographs.

The same cluster of fields are also visible on Ordnance Survey 1880s-90s First Edition Mapping.
