Parallel linear earthwork banks, approximately 3 metres in width, are visible on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017. They are aligned cross-contour and named ‘Old Walls Orchard’ on the mid-19th century Tithe apportionment. They are interpreted as post-medieval or 19th century banks for fruit tree cultivation, and although the plot of land was depicted as orchard on the early-20th century OS maps, no trees were visible in this plot by the 1940s aerial photographs.
