A rectilinear dark cropmark, up to approximately 5 metres wide, is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1999. Its southern edge corresponds broadly, although is more curvilinear than, a field boundary depicted on the nineteenth century mapping. However at its western end, where it turns to the north, it does not correspond to any mapped boundary, and a parallel dark cropmark is also visible for a short length of this side. It is not clear whether this cropmark formed over buried field boundary ditches or could indicate a ditched enclosure in this location that informed the alignment of a later, probably medieval, field boundary.
