They are aligned cross-contour and named ‘Alley Park Orchard’ on the mid-19th century Tithe Apportionment. They are interpreted as post-medieval or 19th century banks for fruit tree cultivation, and scattered trees were still visible in this plot on the early-21st century aerial photographs.
