Name:Left Lake clay pits adit, Harford

Summary

An adit driven east into the stream bank of Left Lake was probably associated with the Left Lake clay pit (MDV4234) 390 metres to the east. The adit is now blocked, only the 20 metre-long cutting leading to it survives, but a clear 2.0 metre -high finger-type spoil dump of stony material extends 30 metres westward from the cutting.

An adit driven east into the stream bank of Left Lake was probably associated with the Left lake clay pit (MDV4234) 390 metres to the east. The adit is now blocked, only the 20 metre-long cutting leading to it survives, but a clear 2.0 metre -high finger-type spoil dump of stony material extends 30 metres westward from the cutting.
