Summary

This dwelling dates to at least the early - mid 19th century, based on cartographic evidence. Depicted on the Tithe map as cottages, the building continued during the 19th/early 20th century as three properties, but now (2018) functions as a pair of dwellings; Church Cottage and The Old Dairy.

Full description

South West Heritage Trust, 1838-1848, Digitised Tithe Maps and Transcribed Apportionments (Cartographic). SDV359954.

Rectangular building aligned roughly north-west by south-east is shown on the Mary Tavy Tithe Map; 539 on apportionment (‘Cottages’, owned by John Buller, occupied by William Rowe and others).

The late 19th century historic map depiction shows that the building is serving as a row of three cottages, with a small structure at the southern end.
