Full description
Waterhouse, R., 2017, The Tavistock Canal. Its History and Archaeology, 317, 344, fig 10.45 (Monograph). SDV361789.
The main line of Tavistock Canal bends sharply after Abbey Weir, then diverges slowly from the river, heading in a straight line in a south-westerly direction for 270 metres. It divided several gardens, some of which were reconnected by arched bridges over the canal, three of which survive.
