'B.S.' for boundary stone is depicted on the late 19th century historic mapping.

Boundary stone about 0.5 miles west of Teigncombe below wall in nettles / briars approximately 10 metres east of cattle grid as road breaks out onto the open moor. (SX66695 87211). Legend ‘GP’. Rough cut boundary stone of natural rock. Worn chipped across top and with a chunk out of left hand side. Large deeply cut ‘P’ possibly renewed in recent times as part of ‘Beating the Bounds’ for Gidleigh Parish. Thought to date to c.1842.
