Boundary stone west of turn to Sampford Manor tucked in angle of fence post and gate on south side of road. Incised with 'SS/P' for Sampford Spiney Parish. Seems to be a replacement for older stone. Original thought to date to c.1822.

Full description
Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.
'B.S.' for boundary stone is depicted on the late 19th century historic mapping.

Boundary stone 30 metres west of turn to Sampford Manor back from road tucked in angle of fence post and gate beside wall on south side of road. (SX53015 72754). Legend ‘SS/P/’. Condition is fair. Large letters (16 centimetres) incised on stone SS/P for Sampford Spiney Parish. Seems to be a replacement for older stone. Original thought to date to c.1822.
