'B.S.' for boundary stone is depicted on the late 19th century historic mapping.

Boundary stone approximately 0.75 miles south-east of Warren’s Cross on a grass verge at wall corner just west of National Speed limit sign (south side of road) (SX52252 72675). Legend ‘WB/SB/’. Rough cut worn stone chipped right across top edge as if caught by machinery. WB stands for Whitchurch Bounds, SB for Sampford Bounds. Thought to date to c.1822.
