A linear bank is visible on aerial photographs of 1946 and digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017as an east to west aligned earthwork up to 10m wide and 130m long, on the north-west facing slopes south of Waddon Barton, Chudlegh.
The visible earthwork does not correspond with any field boundary depicted on the 19th century maps available to the survey but is in keeping with the character of the surrounding field pattern. The bank is interpreted as a plough spread remains of a former field boundary probably of post-medieval origin that was removed prior to circa 1840.
