Full description
South West Heritage Trust, 1838-1848, Digitised Tithe Maps and Transcribed Apportionments (Cartographic). SDV359954.
Christow Tithe Map depicts an agricultural building at the north-eastern end of the plot named Shewley (Plot 595). Owned by Edward Lord Viscount Exmouth, occupied by William Board. Rectangular building aligned roughly east-west.

'Byteign Lodge'. Late 19th century historic map shows a roughly square dwelling which has apparently replaced the structure shown on the Tithe Map.
