Information submitted with the above planning application shows the chapel to have originally been built as two cottages. It was converted to a chapel in 1942 when the house was bought by a religious group known as The Community of Franciscan Servants of Jesus and Mary, founded in 1935.
The present building is of two storeys with rendered stone walls and a pitched artificial slate roof.
It is proposed to reconvert it to a dwelling.
