Curvilinear earthworks of a bank flanked on either side by ditches, circa 7 metres wide and orientated north-east to south-west, are visible on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2013 and 2016.
The earthworks do not correspond with any curvilinear features shown on the late-19th century Ordnance Survey First Edition map but are in keeping with the surrounding historic field pattern, which is characterised as post-medieval enclosures with medieval elements.
They are therefore interpreted as a relict field boundary of potential medieval date that had been removed by the late-19th century.
Understanding Landscapes Project, 2020-2021, University of Exeter Understanding Landscapes Project - Volunteer data, 338.9 (Interpretation). SDV363949.
Field boundary not shown on epoch 1. SX 46606 72434.
