The earthwork does not correspond to any depicted features, however the plot name is recorded as ‘Quarry Moor’.

An irregular shaped depression circa 30 metres by 10 metres is visible as an earthwork on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2013 on a field margin adjacent to the roadside south of Blatchborough Cross.
The depression corresponds with the field name ‘Quarry Moor’ recorded in the Tithe Apportionment. It does not correspond with any features depicted on late 19th century historic maps.
The earthwork depression is interpreted as a post-medieval to 19th century extractive pit that ceased to be worked by circa 1880.
