Summary
Earthworks of linear and curvilinear banks, interpreted as possible relict medieval or post-medieval field boundaries, are visible on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2013. The possible field boundaries had passed out of use by the mid-19th century.

Earthworks of linear and curvilinear banks, circa 7 metres wide and north-east to south-west orientated, are visible on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2013.
The two parallel earthworks do not correspond with any features shown in this location on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map, or on later available historic maps, but are in keeping with the surrounding historic field pattern, which is characterised as post-medieval enclosures.
The form of the earthworks supports the interpretation that they are possible relict field boundaries of medieval or post-medieval date which had been removed by the mid-19th century. Some caution should be exercised as it is also possible the earthworks are of geological origin.
Understanding Landscapes Project, 2020-2021, University of Exeter Understanding Landscapes Project - Volunteer data, 427.21 (Interpretation). SDV363949.
The central field boundary running nw/se is shown on epoch 1 but the possible very denuded strip fields on either side of this field boundary are not. SX395812.
