Curvilinear banks, circa 9 metres wide and orientated north-west to south-east, are visible as earthworks on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2013. The closely spaced earthworks occupy an area of circa 2 hectares and are parallel to the gentle north-east facing slope.
One of the visible earthworks to the south partly corresponds with a field boundary shown on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map. The remaining earthworks do not correspond with any such features on this map, or on later available historic maps, but are in keeping with the surrounding historic field pattern, which is characterised as post-medieval enclosures.
The banks are interpreted as the remains of relict boundaries of a medieval strip field system, that had been largely removed by the mid-19th century.
The earthworks in this location were recorded by two separate volunteers during the Understanding Landscapes Project and include points 449.03 and 449.11

Understanding Landscapes Project, 2020-2021, University of Exeter Understanding Landscapes Project - Volunteer data, 449.3; 449.11 (Interpretation). SDV363949.

449.3
Earthworks not shown on epoch 1. Faintly showing possibly 5 banks following the contour of the hill indicating possibility of strip lynchets. SX386815.
449.11
Earthworks of possible prehistoric trivallate embankments/defences.
