A roughly D-shaped ditched enclosure of probable late prehistoric to Roman date is visible on aerial photographs on the gentle south facing slopes to the north of Yarde Farm. The cropmark of the ditch is less than two metres wide, enclosing an area of circa 0.2 hectares. The enclosure cropmark is obscured on its western end where it is crossed in two places by an extant field boundary and is less clearly visible on its southern edge where geological or periglacial cropmarks are densest. No internal fetures of archaeological origin are visible.
