Irregular earthworks are visible on images derived from lidar data captured in 2005 and 2013, in the small plots of land depicted on the Tithe maps north of Youngcott. Some curvilinear banks follow and bisect boundaries depicted on the historic mapping. Other earthworks are sited close to the road through the settlement, and could be the remains of former house platforms. Several of these plots are depicted as orchard on the Tithe maps, suggesting that earlier settlement at Youngcott had shrunk by this time and abandoned plots been planted up for fruit trees.
