(16/09/1994) SX 57597579 to SX 57767526. A former leat channel on the moderate E-facing slope above the right bank of the Blackbrook River S of Fices Well. The silted channel is now dry and measures 1.0m wide on average and a maximum of 0.5m deep with a turf and stone bank, 1.2m wide and 0.3m high, on its downslope side. It was probably constructed to carry water from a marshy area to the prison, approximately 2.0km to the S. However, recent land improvement means that only the first 600m of the channel now survives.
