Summary
House on the south side of Mill Street, between 'Belmont' and 'Bowden's'. A house was depicted here in the 1940s Tithe Map, but the current building may be the result of mid-late 19th century alterations of the Mill Street buildings, including the development of the Bowdens building.

Full description

Large, square building depicted on the Tithe Map; plot 97.

Later 19th century historic map shows buildings in this plot appear to have been altered; this may the origin of the house in its current form.

Images from 2009, 2011 and 2016 available. Two storeys, three bays wide. Ground floor has doorway to right, with overlight and decorative window to right and overhanging porch. To the left are two 4-light sash windows (later changed to 2-light). First floor has two wide spaced 4-light sash windows. All windows are topped with pediments. Roof has two gable-ended dormers inserted, both apparently with two adjacent 2-light sash windows.
