Curvilinear earthwork ditches are visible on images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, and partly on aerial photographs captured in the 1940s, in fields to the north-west of Lucerhayes. Two broadly follow the contour, dropping less than 5 metres over a visible length of approximately 100 metres, and are interpreted as the gutters of a post-medieval or nineteenth century catchmeadow system. They may have been fed by a deeper channel leading down from the farm, perhaps suggesting this operated as an integrated system whereby manure was mixed with water to both fertilise and irrigate the slopes.
