Full description

Bridge over River Avon at Brent Mill. Extant. Opened 1927. Elegant design. This bridge was built in 1927 to carry the main Exeter-Plymouth road over the Avon. It is a three span bridge of classical style in dressed granite with rusticated arches and piers and a turned granite balustrade. It carries wide pathways and a road width of 6m, the total width being about 12m.
