A series of closely parallel north-west to south-east orientated linear banks are visible as earthworks on images derived from lidar data captured in 2016. The banks correspond with a plot recorded as 'Middle Orchard' on the Tithe Map. Some non-orchard trees are depicted within the plot on the First Edition OS map, indicating the orchard had fallen out of use by this time. The banks are interpreted as planting ridges for orchard trees of post-medieval to 19th century origin, that passed out of use by the late 19th century.
