Full description

The west part of the southernmost ditch corresponds with a field boundary.

Three parallel curvilinear ditches are visible as earthworks on images derived from lidar data captured in 2016. The ditches are orientated approximately north-west to south-east and circa 18m apart down a southeast facing slope south of Pin Hill Farm. The east part of the southernmost ditch corresponds with a field boundary depicted on the Tithe Map. The ditches are interpreted as field boundaries or posible lynchets of medieval origin, that may have formed part of a strip field system, and that passed out of use prior to circa 1840.
