Curvilinear banks with flanking ditches are visible as earthworks on images derived from lidar data captured in 2016. Two banks extend south-east to the north-west, branching into two in its north-west part extending from a stream in the south-east to Crooked Copse and across a stream to the north. The plot is recorded as 'Coombeland' on the Tithe Map. Part of the bank is followed by possible later drainage visible on aerial photographs dating to the 1940s.
A further section of east to west orientated bank is visible to the east immediately below the northern stream and may correspond with a section of field boundary depicted on the Tithe Map.
The streams to the north and to the south-east are first depicted on the First Edition OS map.
The banks are interpreted as field boundaries of medieval to post-medieval origin, that was later bisected by the stream and passed out of use prior to circa 1840.
