It does not correspond with any features depicted on historic maps and spans the width of a plot recorded as 'Fore Door Close' in the Tithe Survey. It aligns with a depicted field boundary to the east, which passed out of use in the mid-20th century. The bank is interpreted as a field boundary of medieval to post-medieval origin, that passed out of use prior to circa 1840.
