A curvilinear north-west to south-east orientated ditch circa 6m wide is visible as an earthwork on images derived from lidar data captured in 2016. The ditch corresponds approximately with a leat depicted on the Tithe Map associated with Colwell Mill closely to the north-east. The leat passed out of use by the end of the 19th century, and a footpath is depicted instead. The mill continues to be in use however, depicted as a corn mill, and passed out of use by the early 20th century. The ditch is interpreted as a possible section of medieval to post-medieval leat that passed out of use by the end of the 19th century, and may have later been used as a footpath.
