Chagford swimming pool opened in 1934 (Smith, J., 2005, Liquid Assets: The lidos and open air swimming pools of Britain, 182).
It is fed by the River Teign. It was refurbished in 1998. There is a paddling pool and terraces for sun bathing. As of the early 21st century there are plans for a café (Chagford Swimming Pool. <http://www.roundash.com/pool.htm> [Accessed 1-MAR-2006]).
